Also though, since plans and a tentative date have been discussed--the first weekend in March--to visit the Queen Mary, I'm going to make the 30s devoré velvet evening cape I wanted to make for Melisandre. I'm excited for this!

My 30s Melisandre is basically my favorite dress to wear ever. So many sparkles!

I ended up finishing but not wearing the tap pants because I had a bump from the closures. Not what I was after :)

I'm actually working on my 30s tap pants at Costume College. I think this is the first time I've sewn here since I made sleeve ruffles my first one? Well, for Costume College anyway. But I don't mind if I don't finish them, and didn't want to bring the 1780s stays and always bring a project...

The 30s slip is almost done. It just needs a hem and the front straps sewn. It was supposed to need a placket, but it's loose enough and low backed so thankfully doesn't need it!

If I counted right, 24 gold left! And that's it!

Well, hem, belt, and lingerie straps, plus a slip and undies, but that's nothing :)

Today's real news is I stenciled my next handmaiden dress. Lots on Instagram, but basically, 24 lions have been stenciled on, and I'm going to embroider swirly bits behind them.
